Some sources have indicated that Solomon L., Leonard G. and Daniel were brothers and were the son of Solomon Bassford. However, this has not been proven. [4]

He was a resident of Augusta, GA at the time of his marriage in 1837. [12]

He married Elizabeth Harmon HILL, daughter of Nathaniel HILL & Diantha HARMON, on 12 Feb 1837 in Pawlet, VT. [12] Born on 18 Dec 1818 in Rutland Co., VT. [4], [16], [17] Elizabeth Harmon died in Augusta, GA, on 15 Feb 1885. [15] aka: Betsey. [4]

She is probably the Mrs. Elizabeth H. Bassford who married A. Usher on 8 Feb 1857, RIchmond Co., GA. [18]
