Born on 3 Mar 1865 in Fort Littleton, Dublin Twp., Fulton Co., PA.18,51 Clarence Eugene died in Wells Tannery, Fulton Co., PA, on 31 Oct 1939.18,51 Buried in Fort Littleton Cemetery, Dublin Twp, Fulton Co., PA.46

Clarence appears to have been the biological son of Sylvester Pittman, but was raised by his mother, Catharine, and step father, Cornelius Gobin.47 Clarence's obituary names his parents as “Sylvester and Catherine Gobin.”51 A codicil for the will of Sarah Scott Gobin, Catharine's step-mother, indicates that her step-daughter, Catharine Gobin, had a son, Clarence Pittman, and that Clarence should get the same inheritance as all of Catharine's other children by Cornelius Gobin, her husband.47  There is an old map of Thompson Twp., Fulton Co., PA which shows S. Pitman and C. Gobin living next to each other, who would probably be Sylvester Pittman and Catharine’s father, Charles Gobin.47
