Mentioned in a deposition for his father’s Rev. War pension, dated 5 Jul 1820. His age is given, but is difficult to read—it appears to be five?. At the time, he is listed as being dependent on his father for support. [326]

She is probably the Tamar Basford, widow of James, listed in the 1891 and 1892 directories of Wilkes-Barre, PA, living at 43 S. Main St. [597]

The daughter of James Basford married a James Mow. [326] This would probably be the James and Sarah Mow who had a daughter Cornelia b. 8 Jun 1847, Bainbridge, NY. [598]

She married James M. MOW ? . Born abt 1813 in New York. [320] age 37 in 1850 census. James M. died ? . aka: Moe. [488]

After the death of his father-in-law James Basford, he wrote a letter on 29 Apr 1848 inquiring as to whether his mother-in-law would qualify for a pension based on her late husbands service in the Revolutionary War. At the time, he resided at Bainbridge, Chemango Co., NY. [326]
